STRATFORD -- On curbsides and front lawns, where waist-deep mounds of snow are starting to melt, some area residents are finding a buried present: their Christmas tree.
Bob, a Highland Avenue resident, said he had no idea a seven-foot evergreen was still sprawled at the foot of his lawn. But there at the curb Friday was his Christmas tree, browning and smooshed from the black-flecked snow that had buried it.
"I thought they picked it up last month," said the Chilean-born 45-year-old,
